Zoom Unveils AI Revolution: AI Companion, New Hardware, and Customization Options

Zoom is set to revolutionize its services with a wave of AI-driven innovations. The company is introducing 'Zoom Tasks with AI' in late March, allowing users to manage tasks within Zoom Docs. This follows the expansion of AI's capabilities, including multi-step task execution and advanced writing assistance.

In May, users can expect AI-generated meeting agendas and live notes. Currently, voicemail summaries for Zoom Phone are already available. Additionally, an AI Add-on is planned for April, enabling organizations to customize the AI with their own meeting templates and industry-specific vocabularies.

Zoom is also expanding its hardware certification program in April to include document cameras for education and patient-room cameras for healthcare. The company is launching a Custom AI add-on in April for $12 per user per month, allowing organizations to tailor the AI to their specific needs. Industry-specific offerings are in development, such as Zoom Workplace for Frontline, Clinicians, and Education.

With over 45 innovations aimed at boosting productivity and simplifying workflows, Zoom is extending its AI capabilities into customer-facing services like Zoom Contact Center and Zoom Business Services. The expansion includes new agentic AI skills and custom agent capabilities across multiple Zoom services, marking a significant step forward in the company's AI integration.
