Woman Dies After Electric Shock from iPhone in Bath
Tragedy struck yesterday when Anne-Marie O'Gorman, a 47-year-old woman, lost her life after an electric shock while bathing with her charging iPhone 14. Her husband, Joe O'Gorman, discovered her unconscious and also received a shock while trying to rescue her.
Anne-Marie, who lived in Ireland, suffered severe burns on her chest and left arm due to the electric shock. Her husband's brave attempt to save her resulted in him feeling the shock as well. The incident occurred in their home, where Anne-Marie was taking a bath with her iPhone 14 in her hands. Despite immediate medical assistance and resuscitation efforts at Beaumont Hospital, Anne-Marie sadly passed away later that day.
The exact cause of the incident is still under investigation. However, it serves as a grim reminder of the potential dangers of using electronic devices near water. Our thoughts are with Joe O'Gorman and the entire family during this difficult time.
