WhatsApp Rolls Out New Voice & Video Call Features for Enhanced User Experience
WhatsApp has rolled out new features for voice and video calls, enhancing user experience. The updates include the ability to turn off the camera before accepting a Google Voice call, a mute button for voice calls, and emoji reactions in group calls. These features are currently in beta for Android users and will be available to all in the coming weeks.
The new camera control allows users to prepare for a Google Voice call without declining it. This is particularly useful when multitasking or in situations where users might not be camera-ready.
The mute button for voice calls, accessible via the notification bar, enables users to accept calls without being immediately heard. This is especially convenient in meetings or noisy environments where users might not want to disturb others.
In group calls, users can now react with emojis instead of interrupting each other. This feature is designed to make conversations smoother, particularly in larger groups where multiple people might want to chime in.
These updates, currently in beta for Android users, are set to roll out to all users in the coming weeks. They aim to improve user experience and convenience during Google Voice calls on WhatsApp.
