Virtual Events Unveiled: Inod Introduces Platform for Digital Trade Shows Amidst Health Emergency
French company Inod, founded in 2016, creates immersive solutions for professionals, primarily catering to communication, marketing, and sales assistance needs. The loss of most orders due to the health crisis and cancellations of physical events prompted the company to develop a solution for virtual fairs.
In April 2020, they collaborated with another company to launch a virtual fair platform that does not require separate application downloads. In June, they organized the first virtual fair for LAFI, featuring prominent IT companies like Microsoft, Acer, HP, Intel, and AMD, attracting 500 participants on a single day.
Laval Mayenne Technolopole, with whom Inod has a long history, used their virtual fair solution for the West Data Festival in February. The company's tailor-made services allow for customization of elements and environments in the virtual environment, creating a unique experience for each event.
Inod's solution enables direct contact with exhibitors through videoconferencing or scheduled appointments, providing conference programs, and offering commercial data to exhibitors for follow-ups. The company believes that virtual and hybrid event solutions will persist beyond the current context, and they anticipate a growing demand for virtual showrooms for international businesses.
In the future, Inod aims to develop virtual showrooms, integrating clients' products in 3D for customized presentations. The COVID-19 crisis has accelerated the need for such digital tools, particularly as salespeople face travel restrictions for product demonstrations.
In terms of upcoming events, Inod is involved in virtual and hybrid trade fairs in Indonesia and Japan, and they are working towards interconnecting various solutions to create a seamless experience for users.
Data-and-cloud-computing technology played a crucial role in Inod's development of a virtual fair platform, which enabled the company to capitalize on increased demand for digital solutions during the health crisis. In a collaboration with another company, they launched a platform that offers a tailor-made virtual environment for events like the West Data Festival.
