The 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan is set to make a splash with its redesign, offering multiple trims to cater to various preferences. The compact SUV is built on the MQB evo platform, featuring a more efficient aluminum suspension, a lighter weight, and a sophisticated European design.

The base model, the Tiguan S, starts at approximately $30,920. It comes equipped with a 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder engine (201 hp) with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. Standard features include front-wheel drive, a 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Pro, a 12.9-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless charging, and IQ.DRIVE safety suite. The Tiguan S also boasts a reconfigured steering column gear selector for more cabin space.

The SE trim, while pricing details are yet to be released, is expected to offer more comfort and tech upgrades over the S, likely including more premium upholstery and additional driver aids.

The SE R-Line Black trim, also priced information pending, will feature a sportier appearance with distinctive R-Line styling, blacked-out accents, upgraded wheels, and likely enhanced interior materials and technology.

The SEL R-Line, priced at about $41,180 (with AWD), serves as the premium AWD flagship. It offers a 15-inch central display, ventilated leather seats with massage functionality, genuine wood trim in the cabin, and Harman Kardon premium audio.

The Tiguan SEL R-Line also features a head-up display, ambient lighting options, and Volkswagen's new "Atmospheres" feature, which integrates with audio settings.

In terms of driver assistance features, the 2025 Tiguan comes standard with IQ.DRIVE and front and rear Park Distance Control. It also offers Hill Hold Assist and an electronic parking brake.

The new Tiguan offers a fresh, modern interior layout focused on spaciousness and usability, with upgraded digital interfaces across all trims. It also features 10 airbags, including newly added centre and driver knee airbags.

The SE R-Line Black trim offers distinctive blacked-out styling elements, 20-inch wheels, and an upgraded interior with R-Line badging. It also features an optional panoramic sunroof.

Fuel economy for front-wheel-drive models is estimated at about 23 city / 30 highway MPG, and AWD variants about 22 city / 29 highway MPG.

A destination charge of $1,425 applies to all trims of the 2025 Tiguan. More detailed pricing and full feature specs for the mid-level trims are expected soon.
