Upcoming Pixel 10 series smartphones are expected to boast impressive battery power based on recent leaks, as the launch draws near in August.
The anticipated Google Pixel 10 series is making headlines, with leaked regulatory listings for the batteries of the upcoming devices revealing some exciting improvements.
According to the leaked data, the Pixel 10 Pro XL is rumoured to boast a 5,078mAh battery and a "B" level efficiency rating. In comparison, the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL will come with confirmed battery capacities of 4,970mAh, 4,870mAh, and 5,200mAh respectively. These capacities represent modest increases over the Pixel 9 counterparts.
In terms of battery life and efficiency, Google has promised over 30 hours of battery life on a full charge for all Pixel 10 models, an improvement from the Pixel 9's 24+ hours. In Extreme Battery Saver mode, this can extend up to 100 hours. The official EU regulatory ratings show that the Pixel 10 can last up to around 49 hours and 23 minutes, the Pixel 10 Pro about 51 hours and 9 minutes, and the Pixel 10 Pro XL approximately 48 hours and 39 minutes per charge.
The Pixel 10 Pro has achieved an "A-rating" for energy efficiency, while the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro XL have received a "B-rating". These efficiency gains are attributed mainly to the new 3nm Tensor G5 chip and smarter power management.
It's also worth noting that the Pixel 10 series features a mandatory Battery Health Assistance feature. This feature gradually reduces charging speed and battery voltage over time to stabilize battery aging, which may cause some decrease in effective battery life and charging speed after extensive use.
Rumours suggest that the Pixel 10 Pro might be equipped with 29W charging capabilities, while the Pixel 10 Pro XL could offer 39W. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold, as per a more recent leak, could receive an IP68 rating and support Qi2 wireless charging.
The base Pixel 10 is claimed to have a 4,835mAh battery, with an "A" in efficiency and an estimated 49 hours before needing to charge. The Pixel 10 Pro, as per a June rumour, is said to have a 4,707mAh battery, estimated to run for 51 hours before charging. The Pixel 10 Pro's battery capacity is slightly lower than originally theorized, according to the latest leaks.
