Unveiled: A special edition electric ID.3 GTX named Fire & Ice, boasting this as a restricted production variant of the standard ID.3 GTX.

Volkswagen has introduced two new high-performance electric vehicles, the ID.3 GTX Fire & Ice and the ID. Buzz GTX. The ID.3 GTX Fire & Ice is a limited-run version of the ID.3 GTX, while the ID. Buzz GTX is a performance variant of the electric MPV that was first introduced two years ago.

The Volkswagen ID.3 GTX Fire & Ice

The ID.3 GTX Fire & Ice boasts a sporty design with blue and red touches, customized stitching and logos, and sports seats with quilted built-in head restraints. The vehicle features specially-developed ultra-violet metallic paint and tinted LED taillights. The roof of the ID.3 GTX Fire & Ice sports a red stripe in anodised paint, and the original Fire and Ice logo can be found on the roof spoiler. The ID.3 GTX Fire & Ice also comes with puddle lights labeled 'Fire' and 'Ice'.

The ID.3 GTX Fire & Ice is limited to 1,990 units and goes on sale on 29 August. The vehicle costs £48,360, around a £2k premium over the standard GTX. It is equipped with 20'' Locarno alloys.

Volkswagen ID. Buzz GTX

The ID. Buzz GTX offers 335bhp, 4WD, and is available in both short and long wheelbase versions. The high-performance variant of the electric MPV was unveiled by VW's boss, Ralf Brandstatter, who revealed the vehicle on LinkedIn.

The Volkswagen ID. Buzz GTX arrives as part of VW's ambitious plan to turn itself into a major player in the electric vehicle market after the Dieselgate scandal. The ID.3 GTX Fire & Ice and the ID. Buzz GTX are just two examples of the wide range of electric ID models that VW has developed.

The VW ID.X Concept

In addition to the ID.3 GTX Fire & Ice and the ID. Buzz GTX, VW's boss, Ralf Brandstatter, has also revealed an ID.3 hot hatch concept - the ID.X - with 329bhp and 4WD. The ID.X Concept is based on the ID.3 and features 4WD from the ID.4 GTX. The name of the person who revealed the presentation of the ID.3 GTX Fire & Ice on their LinkedIn account is not specified in the available search results.
