United Rentals Unveils White Paper on Hybrid Power Solutions

United Rentals, the world's largest equipment rental company, has published a white paper titled 'Hybrid Power Solutions: The Future of Portable Power'. The report explores strategies for combining battery energy storage systems (BESS) with power generators, aiming to create more efficient and sustainable worksites.

Hybrid power solutions, as detailed in the white paper, can significantly reduce operational costs and emissions. By integrating BESS with generators, fuel consumption can drop by up to 80%, and worksite noise levels can decrease by up to 90%. United Rentals offers a range of hybrid power solutions, including POWRBANK battery systems and ANA Energy Boss hybrid energy systems.

United Rentals provides comprehensive support for projects using these solutions. This includes project planning, equipment decisions, delivery, installation, on-site monitoring, and removal. The company has already helped a large construction customer reduce costs by 34% and generator runtime by two-thirds using a hybrid power solution.

Looking ahead, United Rentals is collaborating with multiple companies to enable the use of hydrogen in hybrid energy system architectures. This further underscores the company's commitment to driving innovation in portable power.

With over 1,465 rental locations worldwide and approximately 4,700 classes of equipment for rent, United Rentals is well-positioned to lead the transformation in portable power. Their white paper serves as a roadmap for businesses seeking to lower costs, reduce emissions, and enhance sustainability through hybrid power solutions.
