Toyota Unveils Stylish Electric C-HR+ with Up to 600km Range
Toyota has revealed the all-electric C-HR+, a stylish new compact SUV joining its battery electric vehicle (BEV) lineup. The car was unveiled in March 2025 and is set to hit selected European markets by late 2025, with a global release planned for 2026. The C-HR+ promises an impressive range of up to 600 km, aiming to attract new customers to the electric vehicle scene.
The C-HR+ offers two battery configurations: a 57.7kWh pack for front-wheel-drive (FWD) models, providing an estimated WLTP range of 455km and a 0 to 100km/h time of 8.6 seconds with a 123kW output. The all-wheel-drive (AWD) variant features a larger 77kWh battery, boasting a 525km range and achieving 0 to 100km/h in just 5.2 seconds with a powerful 252kW output. Built on Toyota's e-TNGA 2.0 platform, the C-HR+ shares underpinnings with the larger bZ4X, not the petrol-powered C-HR, offering a sleek, aerodynamic design with generous headroom despite its coupe-style roofline. It slots below the bZ4X in Toyota's electric range, with a 2750mm wheelbase, 102mm shorter than the bZ4X, and a length of 4520mm, providing ample interior space with a 900mm front-rear couple distance.
Positioned as a compact, city-friendly alternative, the C-HR+ retains the striking coupe-SUV profile of its hybrid stablemate and introduces a dedicated BEV platform. Toyota aims to offer a range of up to 600 km to attract new customers, with plans to launch the electric C-HR+ in selected regions in Europe in late 2025 and roll out a worldwide release in 2026.
The all-electric Toyota C-HR+ combines style, performance, and range, making it an attractive option for city dwellers seeking an eco-friendly SUV. With its unveiling in March 2025 and planned launch in selected European markets by late 2025, followed by a global release in 2026, the C-HR+ is set to make a significant impact on the electric vehicle news.
