Tips for Utilizing the Apple AI in iOS 26, macOS 26, and Other Applications
Apple has recently rolled out updates to its in-house AI system in iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS 26, bringing a host of new AI features to select devices.
The updated AI features are now available on iPhone 15 Pro, certain Macs, and specific iPad models with an M chip or A17 Pro chip, including the iPad mini A17 Pro. However, it's important to note that these AI capabilities are not available on all devices.
To enable the AI features, users should navigate to "Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri". Here, they will find detailed and, in some cases, hidden AI updates.
One of the standout features in these updates is the "Visual Intelligence" image analysis tool. This feature works with screenshots in addition to photos, allowing users to retrieve information from almost any screen content on an iPhone. It's worth noting that this feature does not require specific language settings to function.
However, it's important to mention that the AI features will only work if Siri and system languages are set to a specific language, such as German. The "Visual Intelligence" feature is part of the Apple Intelligence and Siri settings and does not have separate settings of its own.
It's also important to note that the "Visual Intelligence" feature is limited to the iPhone and does not extend to other AI features, such as voice recognition or language translation. To take a screenshot, users can press the volume up and standby buttons simultaneously.
This new functionality is available exclusively on the iPhone, marking a significant step forward in Apple's AI capabilities. Users are encouraged to update their devices to the latest operating systems to access these innovative AI features.
