Time-limited Donkey Kong Bananza missions make their mark on Super Mario Run for a brief period
In the world of Super Mario Run, an exciting event is underway, celebrating the popular platform game, Donkey Kong Bananza. The event, titled "Donkey KongTM Bananza," runs from the current date to August 28, 2025, 12:00 am PDT.
During this limited-time mission, players can participate by updating Super Mario Run to the latest version and completing specific mission objectives to earn in-game statues of Donkey Kong and Pauline from Donkey Kong Bananza. The event offers three mission sheets, with the most challenging "Void Kong" missions rewarding gold versions of the statues.
To progress through the missions, players must complete designated stages, which include 2-2, 2-3, 3-3, 4-2, 5-1, and 5-3. These stages will appear more frequently during the event. Completing the challenging Void Kong missions can yield gold versions of the statues.
Players can control their characters by tapping and use their unique abilities to smash their way through a vast underground world. Mario, as well as other characters, are playable, each with their unique skills. Linking your Nintendo Account unlocks further content and grants free access to a paid stage.
In Super Mario Run, players can punch walls, carve tunnels with their fists, and even throw chunks of terrain. The game features a variety of playable characters, and players can check their mission progress via an in-game mission icon located in the top-right area of the kingdom.
It's important to note that while Donkey Kong Bananza offers various skills, transformations, and collectibles, the event missions inside Super Mario Run do not involve direct gameplay from Donkey Kong Bananza. Instead, the event is a crossover celebration, offering thematic rewards from Donkey Kong Bananza.
During the event, one course each day will be available to play free of charge. The available courses are selected from a list including 2-1, 2-2, 2-3, 3-1, 3-2, 3-3, 4-1, 4-2, 4-3, 5-1, 5-2, and 5-3. The free stages, 2-2, 2-3, 3-3, 4-2, 5-1, and 5-3, are part of the event and will be selected more often during the event.
The event in Super Mario Run offers optional in-game purchases, allowing players to access courses that cannot be played without a purchase for a more immersive experience. So, grab your smart devices, update Super Mario Run, and join the Donkey Kong Bananza event!
