The third significant update for Fields of Mistria introduces a notable enhancement in NPC romance interactions
The third major early access update for Fields of Mistria, titled the Romance Update 3, was released on July 21, 2025. This update brings a plethora of new features, mechanics, and NPC interactions, with a focus on romance, alongside other gameplay improvements.
Expanded Romance System
The updated romance system offers a more immersive experience. The NPC Heart cap has been raised from 6 to 8 hearts, allowing for deeper relationships. Eight new heart events have been introduced for romanceable NPCs, each with dialogue paths that can lead to either romance or friendship.
A new dating mechanic has been added, allowing players to take NPCs with "Dating" status on dates each weekend. Players receive collectible Photo Cards for their first date of each type. Players can date multiple NPCs simultaneously but can only marry one (marriage is not included in this update). New "Date Inspiration" items unlock additional date types.
New Festival: Harvest Festival
The Harvest Festival, scheduled for Fall 10th, is a new addition to the game. This festival features a Queen Berry gathering contest, prizes, a feast, and the option to ask an NPC to dance after judging.
Gameplay and Content Additions
The update introduces new monsters and updated mine monster variants, including unlockable cosmetic drops. The Renown Level cap has been increased by 5, allowing players to become more beloved in town. Skill caps have been raised dramatically from level 45 to 60, unlocking more skill perks.
New museum sets and rewards, two new Saturday Market vendors, home customization options with new furniture and decorations, larger storage chests, and a greenhouse are also part of the update.
Quality of Life Improvements
The update includes bug fixes and community-requested improvements, aiming to enhance the overall gaming experience. It's possible that the updated storage chest UI will include a "deposit similar" button.
