Stuttgart's economic development department is planning a rebranding of the BRYCKE Creative Market, aiming to provide better opportunities for start-ups to establish themselves, grow, and contribute to the appeal of the state capital.

For the past three years, the BRYCKE has been a significant platform for start-ups in Stuttgart, offering temporary pop-up spaces, individual consulting, and extensive networking opportunities. Over approximately 150 start-ups have presented their products and services at the BRYCKE.

The rebranding effort is expected to include updated visual branding and possibly new event/showcase formats designed to better serve or spotlight start-ups and creative businesses in Stuttgart. This aligns with the region’s strong design identity ethos, as evidenced by Stuttgart-based creative and brand identity projects and design identity reworks in the city.

The city's economic development department has not yet detailed its plans for new formats to support start-ups beyond the rebranding of the BRYCKE. However, it's worth noting that the region boasts a design culture and innovation, as seen in Sascha Lobe's visual identity work for Bauhaus-Archiv and various new creative market experiences or rebranding efforts emphasizing detail and differentiation.

The BRYCKE Creative Market will conclude operations with a Closing Weekend on August 1st and 2nd, hosted by Hotel Central e.V. The events include a panel talk on August 1st and a closing party on August 2nd. The closure of the stationary location is due to high costs, personnel efforts, and the city's strained budget.

Despite the closure of the stationary location, the coordination of temporary spaces for start-ups will continue as a means of support. Additionally, a showcase for start-ups will be established in the former department store building under the BRYCKE Start-ups brand.

For further specifics about the rebranding and the changes in the showcase formats, interested parties are encouraged to look out for official announcements or local Stuttgart creative market resources.

The rebranding of the BRYCKE Creative Market aims to enhance the lifestyle of start-ups in Stuttgart, providing new opportunities for their growth and showcasing their products and services more effectively. This rebranding effort aligns with the region's strong design identity, reflecting its commitment to innovation and creativity in technology and design.
