Terra Tech reveals electric motorbike tailored for United Arab Emirates weather conditions
Terra Tech Announces Electric Motorbikes in UAE, Shifting Focus Towards Partnerships
Dubai-based EV startup Terra Tech has made a significant stride in the Middle East's burgeoning electric vehicle (EV) market. The company has announced the arrival of its electric motorcycles in the UAE, marking a new chapter in its journey.
Founded in 2021 by Hussam Zamar, Terra Tech is the region's first provider of e-motorcycles with swappable batteries, a feature that eliminates the need for long charging times. This innovation is set to revolutionise the last-mile sector, making EV transportation more convenient and efficient.
The electric motorcycles developed by Terra Tech are undergoing final testing, ensuring they can withstand the UAE's harsh desert climate. The company targets the B2B channel and is finalising agreements with prominent partners in the UAE's last-mile sector.
Terra Tech's focus extends beyond just providing electric motorcycles. The startup also emphasises Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) and Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) subscription models, aligning with the growing trend of sustainable and flexible mobility solutions.
Interestingly, Terra Tech is not the only player in the Middle East's electric motorcycle market with swappable batteries. Yadea, a company founded in 2001, is another first mover in this space.
The announcement has sparked significant interest from potential investors, with several partners expressing their eagerness to invest in the future of Terra Tech. As the company continues to grow and forge partnerships in the UAE, it is poised to make a significant impact on the region's EV landscape.
In the coming weeks, we can expect to see Terra Tech's electric motorcycles hitting the roads of the UAE, further cementing the startup's position as a key player in the EV industry.
