Tech Giant Google Unveils Its Latest Pixel 10 Model, Highlighting a Notable Camera Enhancement

Google has recently introduced its latest smartphone lineup, the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro, at its Made by Google event. The new devices, scheduled to launch on August 28, 2025, are now available for preorder.

The Pixel 10 Pro, priced at $999, offers a range of new AI features, including "Magic Cue", Live Translate on phone calls, and Daily Hub. The base model, starting at $799, also comes with AI enhancements and features, but the Pro model takes it a step further.

In terms of design, the Pixel 10 retains a similar look to its predecessor, the Pixel 9, while the Pro model introduces a light pink colour option, adding a touch of elegance to the lineup.

The Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro both come in multiple colour options. The Pixel 10 is available in Indigo, Frost, Lemongrass, and Obsidian, while the Pro model offers the light pink option alongside the standard Indigo and Obsidian.

The Pixel 10 sports a 6.3-inch display with a resolution of 1080x2424 and an adaptive refresh rate of 60-120Hz. The Pro model's display specifications are not yet disclosed. The Pixel 10's peak brightness reaches up to 3,000 nits, providing a vibrant visual experience.

The Pixel 10 Pro stands out with its advanced camera capabilities. It offers selfie cameras of 42MP, a significant upgrade from the 10.5MP selfie cameras on the base model. The Pro model also boasts a maximum zoom of 100x, while the base model's zoom maxes out at 20x.

The Pixel 10 is powered by the Google Tensor G5 chipset and features a third rear telephoto camera lens, a first for the base model. The Pixel 10 Pro, like the base model, uses the same Google Tensor G5 processor.

The Pixel 10's battery capacity is 4,970mAh, ensuring long-lasting usage. The battery capacity for the Pixel 10 Pro is currently unspecified.

The Pixel 10 Pro can shoot up to 8K video, a feature the base model lacks. The adaptive refresh rate and peak brightness for the Pro model are yet to be revealed.

Both the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro are available for preorder now, with the Pixel 10 launching on Aug. 28 for $799 and the Pro for $999. The foldable Pixel 10 Pro Fold is expected to be released later, possibly on October 9, 2025.
