Suzuki's First Electric SUV, e Vitara, Set for January 2026 Debut

Suzuki's first electric SUV, the e Vitara, is set to make its global debut in January 2026, initially in Japan before reaching Indian shores. Production is already underway at Suzuki's Gujarat plant, with initial batches earmarked for Japan and Europe.

The e Vitara, an 'Emotional Versatile Cruiser', combines futuristic BEV styling with the rugged stance of an SUV. It's built on Suzuki's new HEARTECT-e platform, promising a responsive driving experience. A key feature is Suzuki's new ALLGRIP-e electric 4WD system, ensuring confident handling across various terrains.

After its Japanese debut, the e Vitara is expected to launch in India soon, priced between ₹20-25 lakh. It will compete with models like the Hyundai Creta EV, MG ZS EV, and Tata Curvv EV. The SUV will come packed with advanced driver assistance systems, a modern infotainment suite, and enhanced structural safety, as showcased at the Milan and Bharat Mobility Expo 2025.

The Suzuki e Vitara, after its Japanese launch in January 2026, will prioritize the Indian market next. With its competitive pricing, advanced features, and robust 4WD system, it's poised to make a significant impact in the Indian electric SUV segment.
