While Adobe Firefly is making strides, concerns about the potential impacts of AI on software companies have been raised. A report from financial portal MarketWatch, titled "AI is Eating Software - And Adobe is on the Menu", has caused investor concerns. Analyst Ben Reitzes of Melius Research perceives Adobe’s AI solution, Firefly, as "difficult to monetize".
Reitzes has downgraded Adobe’s stock from "Hold" to "Sell" due to this perceived difficulty in monetizing Firefly and the availability of AI-first alternatives.
