One UI 8 Beta Rollout Announced for Multiple Samsung Devices
Samsung has announced the rollout schedule for the One UI 8 beta, which will be based on Android 16. The update brings a redesigned UI, enhanced performance, privacy improvements, and new AI features.
Starting next week, on August 11, 2025, the beta will be available for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Galaxy Z Fold 6 in select countries: South Korea, US, UK, and India.
In September, the beta will be extended to a broader list of devices. These include the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy A35, A36, A54, A55, Galaxy Tab S10 Plus, and Tab S10 Ultra.
Apart from the Galaxy S25 series, these devices will receive the One UI 8 beta update in September. Older devices like the Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, A36 5G, A55 5G, A35 5G, and A54 will also be included in the September update.
To register for the beta, users need to open or install the Samsung Members app, sign in with their Samsung account, tap on the One UI 8 beta program, register their details, and follow the on-screen prompts.
The One UI 8 beta will introduce several new features. It will bring revamped Calendar and Reminder apps for better organization. The update will also improve Quick Share and My Files. The camera is said to get quicker access to controls with a simple swipe gesture. Some enhanced accessibility features are also expected.
In addition, the One UI 8 will offer an enhanced split-screen view and improved Samsung DeX for connecting with large screens. The update will be available for the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold series, Galaxy Z Flip series, and the Galaxy A series.
The stable One UI 8 update is expected to start releasing in September first for the Galaxy S25 series, then expanding gradually to these additional devices. The exact dates for the stable release are not yet confirmed.
The Galaxy F series, including the Galaxy F56, Galaxy F55, Galaxy F54, Galaxy F36, Galaxy F34, Galaxy F16, Galaxy F15, Galaxy F06, is eligible for the One UI 8 beta. However, the rollout schedule for these devices has not been announced yet.
The Galaxy S21 series, excluding the Galaxy S21 FE, is also eligible for the One UI 8 beta. The Galaxy S22 series, including the Galaxy S22 Ultra, Galaxy S22+, Galaxy S22, is also part of the beta programme.
The Galaxy S25 series, including the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Edge, is eligible for the One UI 8 beta. The Galaxy Z Fold series, including the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, is also eligible for the One UI 8 beta. The Galaxy Z Flip series, including the Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Flip 4, is also part of the beta programme.
The Galaxy A series, including the Galaxy A73, Galaxy A56, Galaxy A55, Galaxy A54, Galaxy A53, Galaxy A36, Galaxy A35, Galaxy A34, Galaxy A33, Galaxy A25, Galaxy A24, Galaxy A17, Galaxy A16 (LTE+5G), Galaxy A15 (LTE+5G), Galaxy A06, is eligible for the One UI 8 beta. The Galaxy M series, including the Galaxy M56, Galaxy M55s, Galaxy M55, Galaxy M54, Galaxy M53, Galaxy M34, Galaxy M33, Galaxy M16, Galaxy M15, Galaxy M06, is also eligible for the One UI 8 beta.
Users are advised to backup their data before downloading the One UI 8 beta as it may contain bugs and instability due to being a beta version.
