Samsung is gearing up to unveil the beta version of One UI 8, with a list of compatible devices, geographical areas, and estimated rollout schedule soon to be announced.

On July 9, 2025, Samsung officially released the long-awaited Android 16-based One UI 8 update during its Galaxy Unpacked event, marking a departure from the usual fall release schedule.

Samsung kicked off the One UI 8 beta programme for the Galaxy S25 series on May 28, 2025, initially in Germany, Korea, the UK, and the US. The beta progressed through multiple versions, with Beta 4 arriving globally around late July 2025 and likely being the final beta before stable release.

For the Galaxy S25 series, the stable One UI 8 update rollout is expected imminently, potentially in mid-August 2025.

Samsung plans a phased rollout for other devices such as the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S23, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, and select Galaxy tablets. These devices are expected to receive the update from late August 2025 onwards, following the usual pattern of older devices receiving the update after flagship early adopters.

Here's a summary of the One UI 8 release schedule:

| Device Series | One UI 8 Beta Status | Expected Stable One UI 8 Release | |-----------------------------|------------------------------------------|---------------------------------------| | Galaxy S25 series | Beta started May 28, Beta 4 late July 2025 | Mid-August 2025 (imminent) | | Galaxy S24, S23, Fold/Flip 6| Beta access expected after initial S25 betas | Late August 2025 (phased rollout) | | Select Galaxy Tablets | Eligible for beta, rollout post-flagship | Late August 2025 or later |

Meanwhile, Samsung is currently rolling out the Android 15-based One UI 7 to older devices worldwide.
