Samsung has hinted at the pending release of the Galaxy Fold 7 Ultra, sharing some preliminary details:

Bringing the Future to Your Fingertips: Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold Ultra

Rumors have been circulating, and now it seems we're on the brink of witnessing Samsung's revolutionary step with the Galaxy Z Fold Ultra. With the summer launch event right around the corner, whispered to be in July, this product is set to shake up the tech world yet again. But that's not all! Samsung's teaser announcement teased the development of an Ultra version of the Galaxy Z Fold, a testament to their commitment to pushing boundaries and constantly innovating.

On the announcement's eve (June 3), Samsung divulged their plans to elevate their flagship foldable with an Ultra version, hinting at AI integration that would take full advantage of the foldable format. The statement reads, "With industry-leading hardware, cutting-edge performance, and seamless AI integration optimized for the foldable format, it's what users have come to expect from Galaxy Ultra."

The Galaxy AI features made their debut last January and grace the screens of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 foldables that hit the market last year. Samsung even introduced new AI-powered features alongside those two models, with the standout inclusion being Sketch to Image, a generative AI feature that transforms sketches into full-bodied illustrations within the Samsung Notes app.

While Sketch to Image is already available on other Samsung flagship devices through software updates, the AI features showcased in the Ultra announcement seem tailored to the foldable format. And the icing on the cake? Samsung promised a powerful camera system—which might even match or surpass the 200MP camera found in the Galaxy S25 Ultra and the Galaxy S25 Edge.

Gear up for a potential screen upgrade with the Ultra model, as it may sport a larger display, surpassing the 7.6-inch interior display of the current Galaxy Z Fold. But Samsung isn't revealing all its secrets just yet; the device's precise dimensions are still under wraps.

Samsung's declaration left us wondering: Is the Galaxy Fold Ultra a sibling to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, or could it be the premium, foldable powerhouse we're eagerly waiting for? We'll find out soon enough, as the Ultra experience is set to unfold during the next Galaxy Unpacked event this summer.

In addition to the AI features and powerful camera, let's not forget about the hotly speculated Galaxy G Fold—the tri-fold display foldable that has been rumored to launch this year. And what about the rumors surrounding an FE addition of the Galaxy Z Flip, a more affordable version of the foldable flip phone to better contend with Motorola's standard Razr pricing? Neither are related to the Ultra, according to the animation accompanying the teaser announcement.

Samsung remains tight-lipped about the Samsung Fold Ultra's launch details and pricing. With the Galaxy Z Fold 6 already ringing in at $1,899, we can expect the Ultra to be priced even higher or at least in the same ballpark.
