The New Jersey Office of Innovation is seeking a seasoned Product Manager to join their team in a challenging and rewarding role. This position requires working in a startup environment and operating with a high degree of autonomy.
Responsibilities
- Identify and engage with external experts and resources to drive innovation.
- Champion and advocate for all end users of the solutions, ensuring equity, diversity, and accessibility needs are considered.
- Facilitate the delivery and iteration of digital services by conducting rapid evidence reviews, research, and field scans, and effectively analyzing qualitative and quantitative user data.
- Lead teams using modern iterative, user-centered, continuous delivery methodologies.
- Drive projects forward while communicating and collaborating closely with the team.
- Lead agile ceremonies and take problems that may be poorly specified and find the best solutions.
- Deliver solutions that meet the needs of diverse users across New Jersey.
- Report to the Director of Product and collaborate closely with the Initiative Director.
Requirements
- Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience leading the development of multiple digital products or services.
- Prior experience in civic technology is strongly preferred.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States, may be required to pass a background check, and will be considered an "at-will" employee.
- The candidate should have a proven track record of leading intrapreneurial initiatives that have delivered measurable and significant impact to the organization.
- The candidate should be skilled in translating product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes.
- The candidate should be able to create and manage the product vision based on user research and metrics.
- The candidate should be able to scope and prioritize technical and design tasks into delivery plans, conduct and support regular sprint ceremonies, and facilitate work management and tracking.
Compensation
The compensation for the role is up to approximately $140,000 (depending on experience) + Full benefits.
