Ring Unveils New Cameras and Doorbells with Retinal Vision
Amazon's Ring has unveiled new cameras and doorbells with advanced Retinal Vision technology, offering enhanced imaging and AI-powered features. The devices, announced at Amazon's ongoing hardware and services event, are now available for pre-order.
The new Ring devices boast Retinal Vision technology, providing 10x zoom and improved low-light performance. This innovation optimizes the imaging process with advanced AI tuning. Notably, Retinal 2K technology is also integrated into the Indoor Cam Plus and Wired Doorbell Plus.
Amazon has introduced Alexa+ Greetings and Familiar Faces features, developed as part of their new generation of AI-powered devices. These features, announced in late September 2025, allow Alexa to recognize registered friends and family and respond proactively. The Familiar Faces feature reduces unnecessary notifications by identifying known visitors at the door.
Some features, like Search Party for dogs and Alexa+ Greetings, will launch in November and December respectively. The Search Party feature uses AI to help locate and reunite lost dogs with their families.
Pricing for the new devices ranges from $59.99 to $499.99, with pre-orders available now. Amazon's hardware and services event is currently underway, with a live blog available for those interested in the latest updates.
