A renowned company is on the hunt for a talented WooCommerce WordPress Developer to join their dynamic development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites, with a focus on e-commerce functionalities using WooCommerce.
### Key Responsibilities
The role requires the developer to:
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, encompassing both front-end (themes, UI) and back-end (plugins, functionalities) aspects. - Create and manage custom WordPress themes and plugins according to business needs. - Build and enhance WooCommerce-powered e-commerce sites, ensuring good performance, security, and scalability. - Convert design files (Figma, PSD) into responsive, pixel-perfect WordPress pages. - Implement and integrate third-party APIs and RESTful services. - Ensure mobile responsiveness, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility compliance. - Troubleshoot, update, and optimize website components for better speed and user experience. - Collaborate with design, content, and backend teams to deliver cohesive user experiences. - Conduct code reviews and implement best practices in version control (e.g., Git). - Support ongoing site maintenance and feature additions.
### Job Requirements
The ideal candidate should possess:
- **Experience:** Typically 3+ years of WordPress theme and plugin development; strong commercial experience with WooCommerce is preferred. - **Technical Skills:** Proficient in PHP, WordPress core customization, custom theme and plugin development. Strong front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, JavaScript (including jQuery). Familiarity with WooCommerce architecture, plugin development, and customizing the shopping experience. Experience with RESTful APIs and handling JSON/XML data. Knowledge of version control tools like Git. Exposure to build tools (Gulp, npm, Composer) and popular plugin frameworks like ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) is an advantage. - **Soft Skills:** Responsible, proactive, detail-oriented, good communicator (often requiring proficiency in English), and capable of working independently or remotely. - **Other:** Understanding of security best practices and performance optimization for high-traffic WooCommerce sites.
