Refreshed Tang DM-i hybrid SUV from BYD to heighten market attractiveness
BYD Unveils Updated Tang DM-i SUV and Seal 07 DM-i Hybrid Sedan
Chinese automaker BYD has made waves in the automotive industry with the launch of updated versions of its Tang DM-i SUV and Seal 07 DM-i hybrid sedan.
The Tang DM-i SUV, BYD's flagship SUV series, has seen significant upgrades, now offering a more comprehensive version than ever before. The SUV, measuring 4,905 mm in length, 1,950 mm in width, and 1,725 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm, comes equipped with the DiSus-C body control system as standard. Additionally, a high-speed flat tire stability system has been added for improved safety.
Three new variants of the Tang DM-i SUV have been rolled out, replacing the previous three options. These new variants feature a battery range of 175 km, an increase from the previous 115 km. The entry-level variant, with a 115-kilometer battery range, has seen its price reduced from RMB 179,800 to RMB 169,800. The starting prices for these three new variants are RMB 179,800, RMB 189,800, and RMB 199,800 respectively.
Customers purchasing the Tang DM-i SUV before the end of October can receive a RMB 10,000 trade-in subsidy. The top-tier variant of the Tang DM-i SUV incorporates the God's Eye B smart driving system with integrated LiDAR sensors and utilizes the DiPilot 300 suite. This variant supports features such as urban Navigation on Autopilot (NOA), automated parking, and remote parking.
In a separate announcement, BYD has launched an updated Seal 07 DM-i hybrid sedan. The dealer selling the updated model can be found on platforms such as mobile.de. The entry-level price, after subsidy, is RMB 159,800. Recent price changes show a reduction of approximately €925 due to the latest updates, with the price now at around €38,680.
The Tang family, which includes the Tang DM-i SUV, has seen strong sales, with cumulative sales reaching 838,976 units by the end of August. During the January to August period, the Tang family accounted for 3.61 percent of BYD's NEV sales, with 103,447 units sold.
With these updates, BYD continues to demonstrate its commitment to innovation and affordability in the automotive industry.
