Refined Steel Bezel Edition of Doxa's Budget-Friendly Dive Watch Now Available

Doxa's SUB 200 Gets a Shiny, Polished Steel Makeover

The term "iconic" gets thrown around a lot in the watch world, but when it comes to Doxa's SUB divers, the moniker has never been more fitting. With endorsements from real-life explorers like Jacques Cousteau and Clive Cussler, the SUB 300 is a dive watch veteran. Enter the SUB 200—an entry-level version that debuted in 2019 with a still-impressive 200m of water resistance. And now, it's gotten a stylish upgrade—a polished steel bezel!

Polished Steel Bezel: A Game Changer

While Doxa has made a name for itself with professional-grade divers boasting utilitarian aesthetics, this new offering brings an even more refined look. Across the entire SUB 200 line in eight vibrant colorways, polished steel bezels replace the sapphire inserts. Dial options range from the classic orange Professional to the black-dial Sharkhunter, with the silver-dial Searambler offering a monochromatic look, and the green Sea Emerald variant standing out with its sunburst finish.

From Tool Watch to Desk Diver

Compared to the sapphire insert, the polished steel gives the watch a more elevated wrist presence while also offering more versatility with your wardrobe. The new steel bezel now straddles the line between utilitarian tool watch and stylish desk diver, coming closer in look to the more aggressive SUB 300. Our only gripe is the 3 o'clock date window, which disrupts the symmetry on every colorway except the Whitepearl.

Specs Remain Unchanged

Luckily, the rest of the specs for the SUB 200 remain unchanged. This includes the 42mm stainless steel case, 200m water resistance, and a screw-down crown featuring Doxa’s signature fish emblem. The watch also keeps its box sapphire crystal and the reliable Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement. Each model comes with your choice of a steel beads-of-rice bracelet or a matching FKM rubber strap.

8 Iconic Colorways to Choose From

The updated SUB 200 collection with steel bezel options are available now through Doxa’s website. Prices start at $920 for the Sea Emerald on NATO, $1,050 for models on the FKM rubber strap, and $1,090 for the bracelet versions. With its expanded range of 16 new references, each combining one of the eight dial colors with the steel bezel and a choice of strap, the updated SUB 200 offers more options for customization without altering its core technical specifications.

"The addition of a polished steel bezel to the SUB 200 line provides a more elevated style, bridging the gap between utilitarian tool watch and stylish desk diver."

"With the introduction of eight new vibrant colorways, each paired with a polished steel bezel, the updated SUB 200 collection offers an expanded range for customization while preserving its original technical specifications."
