Redesigned Minimalist Unimatic Modello for Deep-Sea Diving with 600m Water Resistance

Unimatic, a renowned watchmaker known for its minimalist aesthetic, has expanded its ProDiver collection with three new models: the U1-PD3-B, U1-PD3-OR, and the U1S-T-PD6-B. Each watch offers unique features, catering to different tastes while maintaining the brand's commitment to quality and performance.

The Titanium Powerhouse: U1S-T-PD6-B

The U1S-T-PD6-B, housed in a 41.5mm sandblasted Grade 2 titanium case, offers extreme durability and lightness, weighing just about 63g on the strap. This titanium model boasts a 600-meter water resistance rating, making it suitable for serious deep-sea diving, while maintaining a slim profile at 12.3mm thickness (excluding the 3mm double-domed sapphire crystal).

Key engineering features include: - Case material: Grade 2 titanium for strength and corrosion resistance in saltwater environments. - Movement: Swiss Sellita SW200-1 automatic, running at 28,800 vph with a 41-hour power reserve, powering time and date functions. - Bezel: Unidirectional 120-click ceramic bezel with a matte black insert and dual-color Super-LumiNova lume—bright orange on the bezel and minute hand, contrasting with blue-green on the dial markers—for optimized underwater readability. - Crystal: Thick 3.0 mm double-domed sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating. - Strap: Heavy-duty nylon NATO strap compatible with the lightweight case, designed for robustness in diving contexts.

The Steel Models: U1-PD3-B and U1-PD3-OR

The U1-PD3-B and U1-PD3-OR are two stainless steel variants, water-resistant to a practical 300m. Both models feature a 41.5mm case diameter, with the U1-PD3-B sporting a matte black dial, and the U1-PD3-OR boasting an orange dial. The U1-PD3-OR eliminates the date complication found on the titanium version, while the U1-PD3-B and U1-PD3-OR swap the Sellita movement for Seiko's reliable NH35A, increasing case thickness to 13.2mm but maintaining the overall height.

A Triple Threat of Dive Watches

Unimatic has released a trio of Modello Uno ProDiver watches, pushing their dive credentials into serious territory. The U1S-T-PD6-B, with its lightweight titanium case and 600-meter water resistance, demonstrates that serious depth handling doesn't require a heavy watch. Meanwhile, the U1-PD3-B and U1-PD3-OR offer ProDiver functionality in familiar colorways, with the U1-PD3-OR standing out visually against Unimatic's typically restrained palette.

Each of these watches comes with a black NATO strap and is part of a limited edition of 300 pieces. The U1S-T-PD6-B is priced around €1,500 (~$1,750), making it an affordable choice for those seeking a reliable and stylish dive watch.
