Ready your feet for a throwback, Windows enthusiasts! Microsoft is preparing to launch personalized Windows XP Crocs, adorned with a cherished accessory - Clippy Jibbitz.
Microsoft Celebrates 50th Anniversary with Exclusive Windows XP-themed Crocs
Microsoft has announced a unique and nostalgic product to commemorate its 50th anniversary – a limited edition of Windows XP-themed Crocs shoes, available for pre-order exclusively for Microsoft employees.
These special edition Crocs feature the iconic Windows XP "Bliss" wallpaper design, with blue skies and white clouds on the upper part, and green soles resembling grass. The package includes a drawstring tote bag inspired by the classic Windows XP wallpaper, six Microsoft-themed Jibbitz charms, and a Bliss-themed drawstring backpack.
The pre-order price for this bundle is $80. However, at this time, these Crocs are only available to Microsoft employees. A worldwide public launch is expected in the future, but the exact release date and ordering details for the general consumer market have not been announced yet.
This collaboration marks the first time a version of Windows has been transformed into Crocs shoes. The Windows XP Crocs come with six Jibbitz charms, including Clippy, a pointer, MSN butterfly, Internet Explorer logo, recycling bin, and a folder.
Microsoft has also hinted at another product to celebrate its 50th anniversary – a limited edition of the Surface Laptop. While not Crocs, this more subtle way of celebrating the milestone adds to the excitement.
However, no new information about the collaboration between Crocs and other entities, such as Disney, fashion houses, or McDonald's, was provided. Similarly, no fresh skin for Windows or another wallpaper drop in relation to the 50th anniversary was mentioned.
Stay tuned for further updates on how to obtain a pair of the Microsoft 50th Anniversary Exclusive Crocs. We will share more details as they become available on the platform.
