MG Motor Unveils the MG4 EV: A Game-Changer in the Electric Vehicle Market
In an exciting development, MG Motor has announced the launch of its new electric vehicle model, the MG4 EV. The much-anticipated debut of the MG4 EV is scheduled for August 5 in China.
The MG4 EV is set to make waves in the EV market as it will be the first mass-produced EV to feature a semi-solid state battery, promising enhanced efficiency and longevity. This innovative technology is expected to boost the vehicle's range to an impressive 537km.
The interior and cabin design of the MG4 EV have also undergone a revamp, and will reportedly feature the Oppo smart cockpit for an enhanced driving experience.
Meanwhile, MG Motor's sister brand, Roewe, is also gearing up for the launch of a new model. Dubbed as the "250", the exact details about the model type and its first presentation date are yet to be revealed.
The real MG car, on the other hand, will offer two engine options: a 1.3L and a 1.5LVTI engine. The 1.5LVTI engine will deliver a power output of 78kw@6000rpm and 135nm@4000rpm. Both engines can be paired with either automatic or manual transmissions, offering versatility to suit different driving styles.
Interestingly, the real MG car, if it resembles the Zero, might be worth the wait. However, the MG Zero concept was showcased instead of the MG4 EV at the Beijing Auto Show 2010.
It's also worth noting that the MG3 did not appear at the Beijing Auto Show.
The price range for the real MG car has been set between 50,000 and 60,000 rmb, making it an affordable option for many.
The MG4 EV has already been spotted at dealerships ahead of its China debut, generating a buzz among car enthusiasts. With its innovative battery technology, impressive range, and revised interior design, the MG4 EV is poised to make a significant impact in the EV market.
As for Roewe, if the "250" is indeed the sister car to the MG Zero/MG2, it too could be a promising addition to the automotive landscape. More details about the "250" are expected to be revealed in the coming months.
