Potential Delay in Release of Google's Pixel 10 Smartphone
Google Set to Unveil Pixel 10 Family and More on August 20
Get ready for an exciting announcement from Google! The tech giant is set to launch its latest devices, including the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the highly-anticipated Pixel 10 Pro Fold, at its Made by Google event on August 20, 2025.
The standard Pixel 10 models (Pixel 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Pro XL) are expected to hit the shelves on August 28, 2025, while the Pixel 10 Pro Fold might experience a slight delay until October 9, 2025, due to supply chain issues.
In terms of design and hardware changes, the Pixel 10 series will largely carry forward the design language introduced by the Pixel 9 series, featuring a pill-shaped camera bump and a flat front display, but with subtle refinements. The devices will have thicker and heavier bodies compared to their Pixel 9 counterparts, and new color options will be introduced.
The Pixel 10 will feature a new telephoto camera, possibly an 11MP 5x telephoto lens. The Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL, on the other hand, are expected to have triple cameras: a 50MP main, a 48MP ultra-wide, and a 48MP selfie camera. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold might include 12MP ultra-wide and telephoto lenses, and an 11MP selfie camera.
The Pixel Watch 4 is expected to run Wear OS 6 out of the box and could include a larger battery, smaller bezels, a new wireless charging system for faster charging, and possible exclusive fitness tracking features. The watch will continue to come in 41mm and 45mm sizes with a new Moonstone color available.
Pixel Buds 2a will likely be introduced alongside the other devices, though specific hardware changes have not been detailed yet.
Google may also offer an AI Pro subscription service for free for a trial period (potentially 6 months) with the purchase of Pixel 10 devices.
