Penn Station's Massive LED Screen Lights Up Revitalization Project

Penn Station's revitalization project, a joint venture between Amtrak, Vornado Realty Trust, and Penn Station, has unveiled a striking new feature: a massive LED screen. Measuring 6.8x36.8 feet and boasting around 9.3 million pixels, this bulkhead LED display is a significant addition to the historic transportation hub.

Installed by Digital Dreams, the screen is part of a broader upgrade that includes a widened entrance, new escalators, an ADA-compliant elevator, a sleek glass canopy, and updated exterior signage. The LED screen is strategically placed at the base of the new escalators, guiding visitors to various transit platforms.

The new display is not the only digital enhancement at Penn Station. A 1.5mm BRILLIANT Interior LED video screen from SNA Displays now greets visitors, providing dynamic and eye-catching signage. This addition caters to the increasing reliance on digital news by busy and often distracted commuters, ensuring they receive important information promptly and effectively.

The LED screen and other upgrades at Penn Station are part of an extensive revitalization project aimed at enhancing the travel experience. These improvements, including the striking LED display, reflect the commitment of Amtrak, Vornado Realty Trust, and Penn Station to modernize and upgrade the iconic transportation hub.
