Orange Reports Strong H1 2025 Growth, Launches Defense Division
Orange has reported a strong start to 2025, with notable growth and improvements across various divisions. The company saw an EBITDAaL growth of 3.8 per cent in the first half, with a significant acceleration in France. Orange's mobile networks in France maintained their top ranking, while the Africa & Middle East division continued its double-digit EBITDAaL increase.
Orange's group revenues rose slightly in the first half, driven by a +2.1 per cent growth in retail services, which contributed an additional €312 million. Conversely, wholesale services declined by -4.4 per cent, resulting in a €129 million decrease. The company's organic cash flow also increased by 7.7 per cent.
Orange launched a new division focused on defense and security within Orange Business. Despite not mentioning the founder, this new venture signals the company's expansion into a strategic sector. Additionally, Orange upgraded its full-year 2025 guidance, now expecting EBITDAaL growth above 3 per cent.
Orange's network quality remains a strength. More than half of its 167 million customers now use 4G and 5G networks. However, equipment sales decreased by -5.8 per cent or -€75 million, in line with market trends.
Orange's first half of 2025 demonstrates steady growth and improvement, with notable achievements in France and the Africa & Middle East division. The launch of the new defense and security division and the upgrade in full-year guidance indicate a positive outlook for the company.
