o2 Offers Free ChatGPT Plus Trial to German Customers
OpenAI's ChatGPT has seen a remarkable fivefold increase in German users over the past year. In a collaborative effort, o2 Telefónica is offering its customers a free trial of ChatGPT Plus, aiming to make AI more accessible.
o2 customers can now enjoy ChatGPT Plus for free for the first three months, saving around €69. This premium version provides more accurate answers, quicker responses, and additional features like web search and file analysis. The offer is part of o2's 'o2 Priority' program, automatically available to all o2 customers.
Dominik Bauersch, currently heading the private customer group at o2 Telefónica, will oversee this initiative. Although the end date of the free trial phase is not yet known, users can look forward to extended access to advanced AI capabilities. After the trial, the service will revert to its regular price of €23 per month.
While some users may have reservations about AI or be hesitant to pay more than €1-3 per month, o2 Telefónica's goal is to demonstrate that AI is not an exclusive luxury. In the coming months, the company plans to expand this offer, allowing more customer groups to experience ChatGPT Plus for free.
The partnership between OpenAI and o2 Telefónica is set to bring AI benefits to a wider audience in Germany. With the free trial of ChatGPT Plus, o2 customers can explore the advantages of advanced AI tools at no extra cost, with the potential for more customer groups to join in the future.
