NTC Introduces Text Alerts, SMS Shortcut, and Mass Messaging Via Web in Nepal

Starting today, Nepal Telecom (NTC) is offering a new service that aims to facilitate mass communication for various purposes. The web-based bulk SMS service does not require any additional application or system from the organization using it, making it an accessible solution for businesses, offices, and individuals.

To avail of these services, a formal request letter is necessary. The letter should contain the company profile, technical profile, purpose of service, potential customers, and customer base. It can be sent by email or submitted at the nearest NTC office.

Upon receiving the request, NTC will review the application and the accompanying documents. A copy of documents registered in the company registration and tax office should also be included in the letter. The approval process and user account creation are contingent on the customer meeting NTC's requirements.

Once approved, the customer must remit the amount specified based on the SMS volume quota to the bank account provided by NTC. After remittance, Nepal Telecom will create a user account for the customer, which will then be made available for providing SMS services.

In addition to the web-based bulk SMS service, NTC also offers SMS Alert and SMS Shortcode services. However, these services require an organization to have its own SMS application or system.

Nepal Telecom's spokesperson, Rajesh Joshi, stated that these services are offered based on customer requirements. For precise and updated details, it is recommended to directly contact NTC’s customer support or visit their official website, as procedures and document requirements may change.

With this new service, Nepal Telecom continues to expand its offerings, aiming to make communication more efficient and convenient for its customers.
