In Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, the annual entrance ceremony for Toyota Motor Corporation took place on April 1, 2021. A total of 1,464 new graduates and 428 mid-career hires participated in the event, marking the beginning of their journey with one of the world's leading automotive companies.

President Koji Sato addressed the new employees during the ceremony, emphasising the importance of their joining Toyota as a significant moment in their lives. He encouraged them to develop a love for cars, discover the joy of carmaking, and put in their best effort.

The new employees were greeted by cars that sparked Chairman Akio Toyoda's passion as master driver Morizo. Among these were the Century, a GR Yaris, and an 86GRMN, all owned by Toyoda himself. President Sato also mentioned the Mirai, a hydrogen-powered truck, during the ceremony.

The Toyota Model AA, the first passenger car produced by Toyota Motor Corporation, was a testament to the company's rich history. President Sato reminded the new employees of their encounter with cars as a significant moment in their lives at Toyota, and asked them to continue honoring their dreams.

The recently announced Toyota Group vision, "Inventing our path forward, together," was a clear reminder of the company's commitment to shaping the future. This vision traces back to the company's origins, emphasising the importance of "inventing" in Toyota's mission.

President Sato's message to the new hires was about the importance of working together to shape the future and viewing their joining Toyota as the starting point of their career and contribution, not merely the goal. This message reflects Toyota’s long-standing philosophy of kaizen—continuous improvement—and collective effort.

New employees were also encouraged to take photos with their favourite vehicles. Colleagues from various Toyota companies and plants were present with their cars and messages, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for the new recruits.

As the new employees embark on their careers with Toyota, they join a community of passionate car enthusiasts and innovators, committed to creating ever-better vehicles and advancing Toyota's vision as a mobility company.
