New appointment at GoCardless: former Checkout.com executive takes on role of Chief Product Officer.
GoCardless Appoints Shaun Puckrin as Chief Product Officer
Shaun Puckrin, a seasoned payments and fintech product leader with over 20 years of experience, has been appointed as the Chief Product Officer (CPO) at GoCardless, a leading bank payment company.
Puckrin joins GoCardless from Checkout.com, where he served as Senior Vice President Product. In his previous role, he led product expansion across Japan, the US, Canada, and MENA. Notably, he was instrumental in launching new product lines at Checkout.com.
Hiroki Takeuchi, the co-founder and CEO of GoCardless, expressed his excitement about Puckrin's appointment. Takeuchi stated that Puckrin's expertise will be invaluable in expanding GoCardless' product offerings and strengthening its position as a full-service payment provider. He highlighted Puckrin's proven track record of launching new products and features.
Puckrin's career focus has been on innovating bank payment methods to make them simpler and more efficient for businesses. At GoCardless, he will lead the product teams and drive the company's product strategy to transform bank payments globally.
Under Puckrin's guidance, GoCardless has developed industry-leading AI tools that combine faster payout speeds with reduced late failure rates, setting new standards in how businesses collect and send payments, including recurring and one-off transactions. He has been at the forefront of conversations about the evolution of payments such as account-to-account (A2A) transfers and leveraging AI to enhance payment reliability and speed.
Puckrin's extensive experience in the payments and financial technology sectors was also evident in his work at Nested, a property startup where he was the Vice President, Product and Engineering. Prior to GoCardless, he worked at issuer processor GPS, now Thredd, as the Chief Product Officer.
Puckrin expressed his enthusiasm for account-to-account payments and building new generation payment solutions at GoCardless. He believes these solutions will help ease the challenges of collecting and sending payments and meet the evolving needs of GoCardless' customers.
With Puckrin at the helm, GoCardless is poised to continue its mission of simplifying the way businesses make and receive payments, leveraging the latest in AI and payment technologies to provide a seamless and efficient payment experience.
