New Nissan LEAF 2026: Redesigned Electric Vehicle Arrives with Enhanced Features
The much-anticipated Nissan LEAF 2026 is set to hit dealerships across Canada this fall, promising an electric vehicle (EV) experience like never before. The redesigned LEAF boasts a host of innovative features, from a panoramic dimming roof to Plug & Charge functionality.
The LEAF's exterior undergoes a significant transformation, featuring a minimalist design with motorized flush door handles and a katana-style roofline inspired by the brand's Z sports car. This sleek redesign is complemented by a segment-first dimming panoramic roof, providing an unparalleled driving experience.
Inside, the LEAF's cabin offers a modern and spacious interior, with either 12.3-inch or 14.3-inch digital displays depending on the trim level. The redesigned LEAF also features a flat open floor beneath the dashboard, enhancing comfort and functionality. The seats have been redesigned to improve second-row knee space, ensuring a comfortable ride for all passengers.
The mid-tier SV+ will retail for $47,998, with a total selling price of $50,846. The Platinum+ grade will be priced at $52,798, with a total selling price of $55,646. Pricing details for the entry-level S grade will be released at a later date.
The LEAF's technology updates include Google built-in capabilities and new camera systems like the 3D Intelligent Around View Monitor, Invisible Hood View, and Front Wide View. These features aim to provide a safer and more convenient driving experience.
The LEAF is compatible with the North American Charging Standard (NACS) and will come with the Pulsar Plus 40A charger from Wallbox. Installation of the home charger will be coordinated through RocketEV Charging Solutions. Nissan Canada will offer a complimentary Level 2 home charger to the first 200 customers purchasing the 2026 LEAF.
The new LEAF boasts an impressive driving range of up to 488 kilometres per charge, making it an ideal choice for long-distance travel. The LEAF also provides access to over 25,000 public charging stations across Canada through the Nissan Energy Charge Network.
During its evaluation program, the LEAF underwent cold-weather testing in Quebec, ensuring it can withstand Canada's harsh winter conditions. Sales of the new LEAF 2026 in Canada will begin at Nissan dealerships across the country, with customer deliveries expected to start in late 2025.
With its redesigned exterior, spacious and modern interior, enhanced technology, and impressive driving range, the Nissan LEAF 2026 is poised to redefine electric vehicle ownership in Canada. Stay tuned for more updates on the LEAF's release and features.
