Prommt and Payit Partner to Revolutionize Business Payment Collection

In a groundbreaking move, Prommt and Payit™ by NatWest have joined forces to offer businesses a faster, more secure, and cost-effective way to collect payments. This partnership combines Prommt’s premium pay-by-link platform with Payit’s Open Banking solution, aiming to modernize business payment collection.

With this collaboration, businesses can now benefit from instant, secure payments directly from customers’ bank accounts without the need to share sensitive bank or card details. This reduces the risk of fraud and simplifies the checkout process.

One of the key advantages of the new solution is that it eliminates card schemes and interchange fees, making it particularly attractive for high-value transactions and lowering payment costs for merchants.

The partnership also provides a seamless digital alternative to manual bank transfers, offering an intuitive, merchant-branded payment experience optimized to increase conversion rates.

Another significant benefit is immediate confirmation of funds with real-time notifications sent to all parties. This enables faster reconciliation and quicker order fulfillment as payment reference data is attached to inbound payments.

The integration supports both open banking and card payments, broadening payment options for enterprise and corporate clients.

Adam Ball, chief commercial officer of Prommt, stated that the partnership with Payit by NatWest delivers significant business impact in the UK. James Hodgson, chief executive officer of Payit by NatWest, commented that the combined solution gives businesses control, visibility, and flexibility over their payment flows.

The partnership has already made a strong impact in the market, as a leading UK automotive dealership group with 22 locations has selected Payit powered with Prommt to manage payments across car sales, service, and parts.

James Hodgson further highlighted that the solution offers merchants more control, more efficiency, and a better customer experience.

Prommt acts as a smart orchestration layer, dynamically presenting Payit or Tyl by NatWest based on the transaction value.

Prommt is an Event Partner of Open Banking Expo UK and Europe 2025, taking place at the Business Design Centre in London on 21-22 October.

This future-ready solution is set to benefit forward-thinking merchants in various sectors, including automotive, hospitality, and retail. Corporate clients can now offer customers a seamless digital alternative to manual bank transfers, enhancing customer satisfaction while improving operational efficiency and fraud prevention.
