NAB & IEEE Invite Students to Submit Papers for Broadcast Tech Conference

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and the IEEE Broadcast Technology Society have joined forces to invite students to submit papers for the best student paper award. The deadline for proposals is November 14, 2023, and the conference will take place in April in Las Vegas.

Students are encouraged to explore a wide range of topics for their proposals, including Broadcast Radio, Broadcast Television, Broadcast Facility Design, Digital Online Operations, Positioning, Navigation and Timing Via Broadcast Signals, Audio and Video Technology, Technical Regulatory Issues, Cybersecurity for Broadcasters, and Generative AI Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) in Broadcasting. The BEIT Conference Committee is chaired by Sun Sachs, SVP of product at Townsquare Media. Notifications of acceptance will be sent by January 12, 2024. The intended audience for the conference includes broadcast engineers, technicians, technology managers, developers, contractors, equipment manufacturers, consultants, and researchers.

Proposals for the 2026 NAB Broadcast Engineering and IT Conference are now being accepted. Students are invited to submit their papers by November 14, 2023, for the chance to win the best student paper award. The conference promises to bring together industry professionals and students to discuss the latest trends and innovations in broadcasting.
