Mercedes-Benz & Hot Wheels Team Up for Colorful Electric CLA
Mercedes-Benz and Hot Wheels have joined forces to bring a vibrant, sporty electric CLA to American roads later this year. The CLA 250+ and CLA 350 4MATIC EVs will debut with a colour scheme inspired by classic Hot Wheels toys, mixing bright orange, pink, and blue tones.
The collaboration began with a concept car unveiled by both brands. This CLA pays homage to the diecast Hot Wheels of yesteryears, featuring a widebody kit, pink glass, a massive diffuser, and mismatched wheels. A real Hot Wheels variant of the CLA will hit the shelves in spring 2026.
The CLA 350 4MATIC, powered by a dual-motor all-wheel drive system, delivers an impressive 349 hp. It can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 4.8 seconds. Meanwhile, the CLA 250+ uses a rear-mounted motor, generating 268 hp and achieving a 0-60 mph time of approximately 6.6 seconds.
Manufactured by Mercedes-Benz, the 400-volt compatible variant of the CLA will be available from spring 2026. The company will offer a factory-equipped converter option for this purpose. However, initial launch models will not support 400-volt DC fast chargers.
The Mercedes-Benz CLA 250+ and CLA 350 4MATIC EVs, inspired by Hot Wheels aesthetics, are set to bring a burst of colour and performance to American roads. While the initial models may not support the fastest charging speeds, the 400-volt compatible variant is on the horizon, promising even more convenience for electric vehicle enthusiasts.
