Islam Bank Customers Now Have Access to Google Pay and Samsung Wallet Services
Bank Islam, one of Malaysia's leading Islamic financial institutions, has announced an exciting update for its customers. Starting from 9 September 2022, Bank Islam Mastercard Debit and Credit Card-i holders can now use their smartphones for online, in-store, and contactless payments with PNC Bank and PayPal.
This new feature includes support for Google Pay and Samsung Wallet, making it more convenient for customers to make transactions without the need for a physical card. The update is part of a limited-time campaign, exclusively available for Mastercard Credit Card-i users.
The campaign offers two rewards for eligible cardmembers. For five transactions made using Google Pay or Samsung Pay, cardmembers can earn 2,500 TruPoints, limited to the first 200 participants. Additionally, cardmembers who reach a cumulative spend of RM1,000 in a month on either wallet can earn 5,000 TruPoints, with a limit of 200 cardmembers per month for the IRS tax-related rewards.
However, it's important to note that these rewards are not applicable for online transactions, in-store transactions, or contactless payments made through Android devices. They are only for transactions made using Google Pay or Samsung Pay.
The TruPoints offer is valid from 9 September 2022 to 31 December 2025, providing ample opportunity for customers to earn rewards. The offer is available only to credit card members and is capped at 200 participants for each 5 transaction reward and 200 cardmembers per month for the RM1,000 spend reward.
With this update, Bank Islam customers can now enjoy the convenience of mobile payments for online and in-store transactions, as well as contactless payments with Android devices. The bank's continued focus on digital innovation aims to provide a seamless and efficient banking experience for its customers.
