Introducing AI-Enhanced Holiday Shopping Assistant: Simon's New Tool for Effortless Gift Finding
The holiday season is all about shopping till you drop... or so they say! Retail giant, Simon, is making this year's gift-hunting a breeze with their latest AI-powered tool, "HolidAI." Yes, you heard that right! AI is no longer a thing of the future; it's happening right now at a few of Simon's properties in Garden City, New York, and Torrance, California.
HolidAI, utilizing the popular AI platform ChatGPT 4.0, connects customers with gifts within its extensive database. Simon's staff, termed the "HolidAI helper elves," use digital tablets to assist shoppers and ask personalized questions to help track down that perfect gift. And if finding the perfect gift isn't exciting enough, the helper elves will even entertain shoppers with impromptu dancing and singing performances! HolidAI runs every Saturday and Sunday through Dec. 23.
HolidAI is just the latest in Simon's ongoing tech experimentation to support both in-store shoppers and employees. Last year saw the introduction of the Simon Search tool, aiding customers finding in-stock items at participating retailers across 187 properties. This year, Simon joins other retail powerhouses like eBay, Amazon, Google, and Walmart experimenting with AI-driven technology in the retail space.
The National Retail Federation has released four principles to guide companies like Simon utilizing AI.
