Mein Schiff 3, the latest addition to TUI's cruise ship fleet, is set to dazzle its visitors with a state-of-the-art lighting system provided by the lighting manufacturer, ROBE. This cutting-edge system, designed in collaboration with Chris Moylan of Optikalusion and TUI Cruises head of technology Torsten Hirche, is set to enhance the overall atmosphere of the ship, providing spectacular illumination for both the theatre and nightclub.

In the theatre, visitors can expect front and backlighting over the stage, courtesy of several 800 LEDWash lights. The lighting rigs, arranged in a matrix and taking up little space, also include Robin 100 LEDBeams for visual effects at the nightclub. ROBE's lasers will add an extra touch of excitement, as they are known for their annual showcases at Prolight + Sound with spectacular laser shows.

The lighting system on Mein Schiff 3 is not just about visual spectacle; it's also about energy efficiency and ease of transport. The rigs, which boast a zooming capability with a range between 5.5 and 60 degrees, are designed to be energy-efficient and easily transportable, ensuring minimal impact on the environment and smooth transitions between performances.

The ROBE lighting system on Mein Schiff 3 is equipped with advanced technologies that offer precise beam control, durability, and ease of use. Key features include the Plano4™ 4-blade framing shutter module, which provides unparalleled beam control with individual movement and rotation for each blade, the EMS™ (Electronic Motion Stabiliser) for smooth and stable lighting effects, AirLOC™ technology for reduced cleaning needs, and the Epass™ Ethernet system for uninterrupted network connectivity.

Other notable features include the Slot & Lock system for quick and easy gobos replacement, the MagFrost™ magnetic paddle system for adaptable diffusion, and a QVGA Robe touch screen display for intuitive access to all fixture setup and diagnostic functions. These features combine to provide robust, flexible, and high-quality lighting suitable for the dynamic and varied environments of cruise ship entertainment.

As the ship sets sail, ROBE's lighting system will provide a sea of light for visitors on Mein Schiff 3, ensuring reliable and spectacular illumination that sets the scene for unforgettable nights of entertainment. Anchors aweigh!
