Honda's 0 Series EVs: Quiet Cabin, Iconic Sounds On Demand

Honda is set to launch its first 0 Series EV in late 2025, promising a quiet cabin experience with the option to switch on engine sounds from popular models. The Japanese automaker is exploring the use of sound generators for these upcoming EVs.

The 0 Series is planned to consist of seven global launches by the end of the decade, including models for North America. The first production model is expected to be an SUV. Honda aims to make these EVs some of the quietest on the market, but drivers can choose to mimic the sounds of several iconic vehicles like the S2000, Civic Type-R, and NSX Type-R. The sounds will change based on vehicle speed and accelerator position, but not gear changes.

Honda has previously equipped electric and hybrid vehicles with artificial sounds, such as the Honda e and hybrid models. However, there are currently no official announcements from Honda about a 0 Series EV with a sound generator. Fans can expect more details from official Honda channels or major automotive portals in the future.
