In an exciting development, Daiser, a digital health company co-founded by Mike Trenell and Adam Wootton, has been selected for Google's Growth Academy: AI for Health startup accelerator programme. This exclusive, game-changing accelerator is designed for promising health tech startups worldwide.

Daiser's AI-native platform takes a people-first approach, focusing on personalised, scalable solutions for healthcare providers and researchers. The platform uses a flexible 'Lego brick' system, allowing healthcare providers to build exactly what users need affordably and at scale.

Mike Trenell, co-founder of Daiser, views the programme as a launchpad to help redefine healthcare in the age of AI. Noam Feinstein, Senior Startup Partner Manager and Campus Lead at Google for Startups, expressed excitement about welcoming Daiser to the Growth Academy: AI for Health.

The three-month hybrid programme will take place in Poland, and Daiser will be joining a cohort of 25 startups from various countries. Participants will receive ongoing technical support from Google's expert teams throughout the programme and even after it ends.

Google is proud to support Daiser's mission and connect them with other visionary companies redefining the future of health. The AI in Health Accelerator is delivered by Pioneer Group in a joint effort with Innovate UK, MRC, and AstraZeneca.

Daiser is partnering with respected institutions like the South Yorkshire Digital Health Hub (SYDHH) and the EPSRC's EdgeAI Hub. The future of the UK's MedTech landscape is a topic of discussion following the Labour's landslide general election victory.

It's worth noting that Google also runs related Growth Academy programs targeting other sectors such as GovTech, which assist startups focused on AI solutions for government services broadly, including public health. Google has launched regionally targeted AI initiatives, such as the $12 million APAC AI for Society initiative and $37 million AI development fund in Africa, which similarly emphasize AI for health and societal benefits, often partnering with startups, nonprofits, and academic institutions.

In addition, there is £10m funding available for AI-powered robotic labs to accelerate deadly infection treatment. The Google Growth Academy: AI for Health accelerator programme will offer participants virtual and in-person sessions focused on AI best practices, product design, leadership, responsible innovation, and customer growth.

With Daiser's selection, the UK is well-represented in this prestigious programme, as one of three startups from the UK were chosen, following a rigorous selection process that combed Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The programme aims to help startups like Daiser scale their AI healthcare technologies more effectively and enter new markets.

Daiser's innovative digital health platform, built on artificial-intelligence technology, will be leveraging the expertise of Google's Growth Academy: AI for Health startup accelerator programme to further enhance its AI-native solutions in healthcare. This three-month hybrid programme, held in Poland, aims to help startups like Daiser, using AI in health, scale their technologies effectively and enter new markets.
