Frankfurt Airport Expands Winter Schedule with Arctic & Tropical Flights
Frankfurt Airport, Germany's main aviation hub, is expanding its winter schedule with new direct flights to Arctic destinations and tropical getaways. Discover Airlines leads the way with nonstop services to Alta, Evenes, and Kittilä, starting in the winter season 2025/2026.
The winter schedule, featuring 79 airlines and 243 destinations in 93 countries, brings a wealth of options for travellers. Condor is boosting connections to Thailand with four weekly flights to Phuket (HKT) and five additional weekly connections to Bangkok (BKK). Discover Airlines is introducing new connections to Kittilä (KTT) in Finland and Alta (ALF) in Norway, while also adding Ibiza (IBZ) as a year-round destination with weekly flights every Saturday. T'way Air is increasing its flights to Seoul, South Korea, to a total of 19 weekly connections. Lufthansa is offering a new destination for viewing the Northern Lights with flights to Rovaniemi (RVN) in Finland.
The winter flight schedule begins on October 27, 2024, and runs until March 29, 2025. Condor will fly to Los Cabos (SJD) in Mexico twice a week starting November 3, and will add a stopover in Antigua (ANU) to its Punta Cana (PUJ) connection. Discover Airlines will offer the only direct connection from Europe to Tulum (TQO) from December 12. Lufthansa's summer connections to Raleigh-Durham (RDU) and Minneapolis-Saint Paul (MSP) in the USA will continue throughout the winter.
With these new additions, Frankfurt Airport's winter schedule provides a diverse range of destinations, catering to both winter sports enthusiasts and sun-seekers. Travellers can look forward to a wide variety of options for their winter getaways.
