Europe's Creative Progression Ignited: 5 New Awards Categories Highlight 2025 ADCE Awards

ADCE Awards Introduces New Categories for 2025

The creative industry is gearing up for an exciting change as the ADCE Awards, Europe's most prestigious gathering of design and advertising work, announces five new categories for its 2025 edition. The first-ever public final judging round will take place during ADCE Creative Week in Barcelona, marking a significant milestone in the awards' history.

ADCE Creative Week, known for offering opportunities for industry peers' connection, fresh perspectives, and brand positioning at the forefront of emerging trends, will host these groundbreaking categories. The new additions include Art Direction (Print & Outdoor), Digital Direct Marketing (Interactive & Mobile), Influencer Marketing (Interactive & Mobile), Creative Effectiveness (Brand Experience), and Artificial Intelligence (Integrated & Innovation).

While the exact focus of these new categories remains unspecified in the current sources, past ADCE Awards have recognised communication and creative ideas, product design or innovation, environmental and sustainability design, and emerging and student works illustrating creativity across media.

Entrants are invited to submit their work via the official Awards Platform until September 26, 2025. ADCE's entry fees are now a single flat fee for all locally awarded work, promoting inclusivity. This move is expected to encourage a wider range of submissions from various creative sectors.

Senior marketing leaders can use the ADCE Awards as a strategic pathway to international visibility and peer-validated authority. Success in a local market can lead to elevated standing on a worldwide platform through ADCE's integration with The One Club. Additionally, all ADCE winners now contribute points towards The One Club's Global Creative Rankings.

ADCE Creative Week transforms Barcelona into a hub for the creative community, offering workshops, panel discussions, and networking sessions. The Student Awards Gala and the ADCE Awards Gala are events that take place during ADCE Creative Week, recognising student and professional excellence respectively.

Notably, Ukrainian entrants receive a substantial discount on entry fees, and freelancers receive a generous reduction. The judging process unfolds in three distinct stages, with the final round taking place in Barcelona's Disseny Hub.

ADCE's merger with The One Club for Creativity has expanded its global reach, promising an even more diverse and inclusive platform for creative talent. With these new categories, the ADCE Awards is set to push the boundaries of creative excellence and celebrate the best in design and advertising from across Europe.

Artificial intelligence will likely be a focus in the new categories for the 2025 ADCE Awards, as the Artificial Intelligence (Integrated & Innovation) category has been added. The creative industry is anticipated to showcase the latest advancements in technology and artificial intelligence during ADCE Creative Week.
