Institutional and corporate interest in Ethereum is expanding sharply in 2025, with Ethereum increasingly viewed as a treasury reserve asset beyond Bitcoin. Firms are leveraging staking and DeFi yield opportunities, with Ethereum-focused treasury firms potentially holding up to 10% of the total ETH supply long-term.
It's worth noting that the largest individual Ethereum holder remains the Beacon Deposit Contract (staking contract), holding over 54% of the total supply.
Meanwhile, in the stock market, SharpLink Gaming's stock (SBET) is currently trading at roughly $19. Over the period from July 28 to August 3, SharpLink Gaming purchased 83,561 Ethereum for $264.5 million.
In related news, Consensys CEO Joe Lubin has expressed his intention to continue buying more Ethereum, surpassing the Ethereum Foundation on the list of the largest corporate holders of Ethereum. However, the current location of Peter Brandt, known for his insights on charting, remains unknown.
The growing interest in Ethereum is also reflected in the assets under management of BlackRock's Ethereum ETF, which currently stands at $372,000,000. Despite the rising interest, the whereabouts of Satoshi and Max Keiser remain undisclosed.
