T2 and FC Krasnodar Partner to Boost Stadium Connectivity

A strategic partnership between mobile operator T2 and football club FC Krasnodar has been announced, aiming to enhance the connectivity experience for fans and visitors at the club's stadium and surrounding park area.

The partnership, which was signed on July 25, involves T2 investing in upgrading and expanding network coverage within the FC Krasnodar stadium and park. This includes the installation of new base stations, the implementation of 5G technology, and the modernization of existing infrastructure to handle increased traffic.

According to Aram Fundukyan, many people attending matches often complain about poor connectivity, especially during sold-out, championship matches. With this partnership, T2 aims to address these concerns and provide stable coverage at the stadium, allowing subscribers to use high-speed mobile internet and quality voice services even during sold-out matches.

Egor Borumusov, T2's Marketing Director, expressed gratitude to FC "Krasnodar" for choosing T2 as their partner. He found it not coincidental as their brands share similar spirit, philosophy, and ideology. T2's branding will be incorporated into FC "Krasnodar"'s advertising surfaces at the stadium and park during matches, and the "bulls" symbolism will be featured in T2's stores as part of the partnership.

Borumusov highlighted that T2 has always differentiated itself from other mobile operators by playing by different rules, standing by its subscribers, and historically setting itself apart from market competitors.

T2 also plans to integrate partner initiatives into its "More" loyalty program, offering special deals for T2 subscribers during the partnership. Both parties are interested in extending the partnership beyond the 2025/26 season.

The aim of the long-term partnership is to develop the technological environment, sports, and improve the comfort of Kuban residents and guests. The negotiation process for the partnership took about four months, but the deal amount remains a commercial secret.

This partnership exemplifies how mobile operators and sports clubs collaborate to create technologically advanced venues that meet modern connectivity demands for live events, thereby improving fan engagement and operational efficiency.

With the strategic partnership, T2 will invest in upgrading the stadium's network coverage using 5G technology, aiming to provide stable high-speed mobile internet and quality voice services to FC Krasnodar's fans during sold-out matches. This collaboration between T2 and FC Krasnodar highlights the integration of technology to create technologically advanced venues that cater to modern connectivity demands for live events.
