Energy company Loop Energy appoints Brad Miller to its board, marking another step in the organization's growth and transformation.
Loop Energy Appoints Brad Miller to Board of Directors
In a significant move, Loop Energy, a leading company in the design and manufacture of hydrogen fuel cells for commercial mobility, has announced the appointment of Brad Miller to its Board of Directors. This appointment is part of the company's ongoing evolution, as it seeks to drive profitability and shareholder value appreciation sooner.
Brad Miller brings a wealth of experience to the table, having led and scaled clean technology manufacturing businesses to profitability in the past. Prior to his current role as Vice President of Product Management at Loop Energy, Miller founded IMW Industries, a manufacturer of compressed natural gas (CNG) equipment. Under his leadership, IMW Industries grew to over $100 million in revenue and employed 700 people worldwide.
Miller's company, AdvanTec Global Innovations, has also expanded into developing reformers for stationary hydrogen-electric generators and hydrogen fuelling station equipment. This experience in scaling manufacturing operations and driving profit margins will undoubtedly benefit Loop Energy.
The emphasis of Loop Energy will be on emerging and profitable market segments. This focus is in line with the company's decision to operate according to current market conditions and size its operations appropriately.
Kent Thexton, the Chairman of Loop Energy, expressed excitement about Miller's appointment and the potential to leverage his extensive experience in the hydrogen and cleantech manufacturing sectors. "Brad's appointment is a significant step forward in Loop Energy's evolution," said Thexton. "His experience and expertise will be invaluable as we continue to drive innovation and growth in the hydrogen and clean technology sectors."
This appointment is part of Loop Energy's ongoing effort to evolve its board, which began last year with the appointment of Kent Thexton as Board Chair and Paul Cataford as Director, Corporate Secretary, and CFO.
Neil Murdoch, who has resigned from the Loop Energy Board, also made the announcement in conjunction with Miller's appointment. The statement was made by Ben Nyland, Loop Energy President & CEO. The event took place in Vancouver, British Columbia, on January 30, 2023.
Loop Energy's commitment to designing and manufacturing efficient hydrogen fuel cell systems is unwavering. With the addition of Brad Miller to its Board of Directors, the company is well-positioned to capitalise on the growing demand for clean, sustainable energy solutions.
