Electric-powered Renault 4 Van debuts in Spain, catering to professional demands
The Renault 4 E-Tech Van has recently been launched in Spain, marking its entry into the commercial transportation market. This electric vehicle, designed by the French automaker Renault, retains the retro style of the original model while offering modern electric power.
The Renault 4 E-Tech Van has been homologated within the N1 category, making it suitable for commercial and goods transportation. However, it cannot be homologated as a passenger vehicle due to the removal of rear seats and seat belts. Instead, the van features a reinforced plastic floor and a cargo retention panel.
Two powertrains are available for the Renault 4 E-Tech Van. The first variant comes with a 40 kWh lithium-ion battery, offering a range of 308 kilometers. The second variant boasts a 52 kWh battery, extending the range to 409 kilometers.
Charging the 40 kWh battery with a 11 kW alternating current charger takes 2 hours and 37 minutes, while the 52 kWh battery requires 3 hours and 13 minutes for a full charge. The 52 kWh battery can be charged with a 100 kW direct current charger in just 30 minutes.
The cargo space of the Renault 4 E-Tech Van, according to the VDA standard, is 940 dm³ or 1,045 liters. The cargo space length is 1,200 mm.
The Renault 4 E-Tech Van will only have one trim level, which includes features such as 18-inch wheels, electrically adjustable mirrors, an adjustable driver's seat, automatic climate control, integrated connectivity and services, an Arkamys sound system with 4 speakers, and equipment present in the passenger version.
The Renault 4 E-Tech Van is designed for professionals who need to transport materials or packages. It was first delivered in France, where Renault is based, after the relaunch of the electric Renault 4 model in 2024 following a 33-year hiatus. The initial market availability started around that time in France.
The price of the Renault 4 E-Tech Van with the 40 kWh battery is €23,954, while the version with the higher range is €26,284. These prices do not include taxes or potential discounts.
The Renault 4 E-Tech Van is now available in Spain, offering a sustainable and stylish solution for professionals in need of a reliable commercial vehicle.
